#EMPLOYEMENT GBEGE: This photograph set off something

A: Meanwhile, him pikins dey for abroad. NYSC dem dey carry bags of "God-knows-what"
B: Mtchew
C: Bros I find dis hard to believe.
D: Sam,off course, this was photoshopped...
E: they would be lucky to even get such jobs
F: Off point. There is dgnity in labour.there is pride in winning bread for the family. Every body cannot be in govt or oil Co.
G: Hahahahaha so laughable
E: Mmm, u (referring to F) sef born pikin ooo
F: (replying E) What has my pickin got to do with this issue?
So because Jonathan is is power, there won't be menial workers in the country?
What is the definition of employment and what are its characteristics?
By the grace of God, I understand features, principles and characteristics of capitalism and it's mode of operation. I am also conversant the basic principles of socialist economy.
None of them created an Utopia were every body who wants to work got work.
There is no economy in the world that has attained full employment for its citizens.
There is no economy that has given people their desired jobs or pay commensurate reward.
There are always inequalities and discontents.
Human want are inelastic while the resources to satisfy them are finite.
The God who created the mankind did not endow us with equal talent and equal abilities.
Jesus said "There will always be the poor"
The parable of the Talent shows that individuals are given different talents. Even those who fail to utilise their talent are warned that they will lose it.
So, what point is that Madam making with her reference to my son?
I send my son to school and I sponsor children of other people in school to give them the opportunity to get a better life.
I am not in government and I never created the condition of impoverishment in the country which are fallout of the free market economy that Nigeria is trying to create.
The man who made the cynical post did not put the educational background of those doing the menial work.
But my take is in line with Biblical injunctions that" whatever your hands find to do, do it" The Bible also tells us that "a little sleep, a little slumber and a little folding of arm so will your poverty set in."
Is it not better for the men to work and earn a living than their sitting laying about and grumbling?
A Yoruba proverbs says "shit money no dey smell"
We all have followed different path of life. Along the line fortune smiled on us, others have not been so fortunate.
If we follow Dudley Seers' argument of development and growth in an economy especially, his views on inequality, i am sure you are not on the same income with your driver Capitalism rewards " Each according to his ability while Socialism professed "to each according to his needs."
Even socialism did not achieve a condition of full employment before it collapsed.
Even in Communist China which is embracing capitalist free market principles, there are people who bound to be left behind.
This is the reason why social safety nets are created.
Even in Edo State where the post was made, Conrade Oshionhole has not created an El Dorado for every body to be in White or Blue collar jobs. Rather, this is the state of "Go and Die" Governor.
There is nothing so demeaning as people leaving substance of the argument and embark on populism just to sound political correct.
Some us have demanded that as media people we should request for the content and focus of this enchanting change
What are the conceptual frame work for the change and benchmark for implementation?
Is this merely a change of guard and persons in power to bring our people or change of system? What are the new ideas?
What is the focus and direction of this change?
What is the difference between change and transformation as we have now?
Are we really sincere when we say that Nigeria's economy has collapsed?
What are the attitudinal components of the change?
Have we become captives of political manipulations and mischief?
We have left the real issues and focus on noise. We play up frustration and transfered aggression while the political class make fool of the people.
H: (refering to the person dat posted the foto) show us the jobs created by tour own Governor. When did you start speaking for GEJ? Hope you don't want to lose your own job? Because using Edo State resources to promote GEJ can have implications. Tehehehehehehe
E: I appreciate you (refering to F). My point is, would we struggle to give our children education only for them to end up labourers? i think the answer is no
F: The picture did not give us the educational background. But it is opportunity to earn money instead of going to steal. Capitalism is cruel
I: Oga (referring to F), you've said it all. Some Nigerians do ''worse'' jobs abroad to earn their daily living and when they bring back the dollars, you don't complain. There is dignity in labour. At least they are not stealing and this gives them extra income apart from their monthly allowance.
The person wey post the foto: Not lmao
