You are too ugly for King Kong, Meryl Streep told

Meryl Streep - "This was me on my way home from an audition for King Kong where I was told I was too “ugly” for the part. This was a pivotal moment for me.
“This one rogue opinion could derail my dreams of becoming an actress or force me to pull myself up by the boot straps and believe in myself. I took a deep breath and said “I’m sorry you think I’m too ugly for your film but you’re just one opinion in a sea of thousands and I’m off to find a kinder tide.”
Today Meryl Streep has 18 Academy Awards.
Moral- Never ever give up on your dreams. Only you know your true worth

A husband divorced his wife hours after their wedding because she was too busy texting her friends to consummate the marriage.
The groom took his Saudi bride back to their hotel room after the ceremony in the city of Jeddah.
But when he tried to get intimate with her, he was pushed away by his wife because she was trying to respond to congratulatory messages from friends on her phone.
She became angry when he asked her to stop.
A relative told Saudi daily Al Watan: 'The groom tried to get closer with her and more intimate, but he was shocked when she ignored him, not responding to his words and action.
'When he asked her if her friends were more important than he was, the bride answered that they were.

New fuel pump price, mere tokenism – APC (January 19, 2015)

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has accused the Federal Government of making a show out of deceit by its so-called fuel price reduction, saying a 10.3 percent slash in the price of petrol (from 97 to 87 Naira) is a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent.
In a statement, Monday, in Lagos by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the pump price of a litre of fuel should not be more than 70 Naira, meaning that at 87 Naira per litre, the government is forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by 17 Naira for every litre of fuel.
It said: “When crude oil was selling at 100 dollars per barrel, the landing cost of PMS without subsidy was 125 Naira per litre. Now that the oil price has crash to about 44 dollars per barrel, landing cost without subsidy is about 65 Naira per litre. The same goes for diesel, which should not sell for more than 90 Naira per litre.”
APC said while governments of countries, which are not as economically endowed as Nigeria have reduced the pump price of fuel as far back as early January 2015, Nigeria that is the world’s sixth largest producer of oil is just announcing a price slash that is far below those countries.
“Early this year, Zambia slashed the price of petrol by 23 per cent while Tanzania reduced the pump price of the product by 16%. In the US, which until recently was importing crude oil from Nigeria, the price of fuel has fallen for 113 consecutive days as of January 16. Therefore, the 10.3% price slash in Nigeria is too meagre too late,” the party said.

Nigeria fantastically corrupt— David Cameron

He’s living in the past, Presidency replies

British Prime Minister, David Cameron, has described Nigeria and Afghanistan as “fantastically corrupt” in a conversation with the Queen of England, Elizabeth II.
However, in a swift reaction, the Presidency said the British Prime Minister, Mr. Cameron, still had the “old snapshot” of what Nigeria was before the coming of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to have described it as “fantastically corrupt” alongside Afghanistan.
While talking about this week’s anti-corruption summit billed to hold in London tomorrow, where President Muhammadu Buhari will give a keynote address, Cameron said: “We have got some leaders of some fantastically corrupt countries coming to Britain— Nigeria and Afghanistan— possibly the two most corrupt countries in the world.”
Asked whether he knew he was being filmed, the Prime Minister said: “There were multiple cameras in the room.”
After Mr. Cameron’s comments, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, intervened: “But this particular President is not corrupt. He is trying very hard,” before Speaker, John Bercow, said: “They are coming at their own expense, one assumes?”
The conversation took place at Buckingham Palace at an event to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
BBC diplomatic correspondent, James Landale, described the Prime Minister’s comments as a “truthful gaffe,” because the two countries involved were widely perceived as having a corruption problem.

He can’t fulfil my sexual fantasy

Recently, my boyfriend and I were discussing what would really turn us on. For years I’ve had this fantasy of a rough sex with a really macho man.
I’ve had one or two meaningful relationships, but the men I’d met were not really macho. Least of all, my current boyfriend who’s somehow weedy!
Now he wants us to act out my fantasy, but his physique won’t turn me on in that way. How can I put him off!

Fantasy isn’t reality. So you don’t need your boyfriend to be a genuinely strong man to act out your sexy dreams.
Simply close your eyes and pretend. You never know— he may be more powerful than he looks! But if you’re really sure this won’t work, explain to him that although you like to fantasise when you’re alone, you don’t need or want to act it out.
That will let you off the hook and spare your feelings
