Tony Anenih’s son, Eugene, slumps, dies

Eugene, one of the sons of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, Chief Tony Anenih, slumped while playing tennis with some of his friends at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos, yesterday, and was confirmed dead at Saint Nicholas Hospital, where he was rushed to.
The incident marred sporting activities at the club yesterday, as friends made attempts to administer CPR on him without success, before he was taken to the hospital.

Contacted, St. Nicholas Hospital declined to speak on the development. However, a source that confirmed the incident to Vanguard, said he had no details about what really happened to Eugene, a stockbroker and the Chief Executive Officer of Nova Finance and Securities Limited.
The source said: “I don’t have details of the incident. All I can say is that he is not on admission here. He was brought in from the Tennis Club.
“Unfortunately, he passed on and his body has been taken away. I don’t have the details of his whereabouts right now.”
Late Eugene, as gathered, was planning to give his late mother, whose body is still in the morgue, a befitting burial. Unconfirmed reports attributed his death to heart failure.
He was a 1990 Bio-Chemistry graduate of the University of Benin, UNIBEN, and also a member of the Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers, CIS. He was an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
Late Eugene attended several courses in capital market internationally, including Capital Equity Appraisals Suite courses with the New York Institute of Finance, New York, United States of America.
