Be enterprising, FUTA's VC urges freshers

THE Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, Professor Adebiyi Daramola, has admonished the 2016/2017 matriculating students of the institution to demonstrate industry, enterprise and thrift, as well as support and cooperate with the institution’s management to achieve its goals.
He made the charge while congratulating the 4,772 new students on their admission, adding “it is a thing of pride to be admitted into FUTA, where you are expected to be certified worthy in character and learning to build a successful and rewarding future for yourselves.”
Daramola said the university requires synergy among stakeholders, of which the students are an integral part.
He urged them to key into the vision of the institution, warning that management will not hesitate to deal with erring students.
Some of the matriculants expressed joy at being among the chosen ones from the 19,000 that applied for admission into FUTA.
