Fisherwoman, 3 children die in oil blowout fire

Mrs Ebosine Photo, 36, her children, Siyafa and Gift Photo, 16 and 6 years, respectively, and an unnamed toddler died on a fishing trip when she attempted to light a lamp as night came.
An oil blowout on the Riapele-Forcados Trunkline, belonging to Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, had spilled petroleum product on the river.
Friday Deinghan, a community leader at Odidi, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, said: “The mother and the children were out fishing, more than three kilometres away from the spill point, very unmindful that the crude oil had spread across the river. It was nightfall.
“She made to light a hurricane lamp they usually use to illuminate their way as they mend their nets and fishing traps.
“Immediately she lit it and dropped the match stick on the water, fire engulfed the four of them.”
Now, whether the man's story is true or not, a woman and her three chikldren?!
