I still find other men attactive
I’m in a steady relationship with a guy I met three years ago, and I love him. Lately, however, I’ve been looking more and more at other men. Does this mean I’m falling out of love with my man?
Aisha,
Experts agree that eighteen months to two years into a relationship is a testing time. Up until then, delicious love hormones have been pumping through your bodies, keeping you both infatuated and ‘in lust’.

I won N2 million promo; now my ex says she still loves me
I was stunned but overjoyed when I won a N2 million naira promo of one of the telecoms companies months back. My name and pictures were in the papers and a few days after my win, my ex-fiancee got in touch and asked to see me again.
She was the one who broke off the engagement two years ago and I was devastated when it happened. Now she’s told me she’d never stopped loving me.
APC will implode, CBN fumbling with more money and less action, economy crumbling, President Siddon Look
All Progressives Congress, APC, will
implode, the shit will hit the fan and then the real change will
start. Hurt a snake real bad and it will bite itself to death. But
don't hang around to see how.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari
will assume that legs-apart-hands-in-the-back-you-all-go-to-hell

dirty.
We must not forget, during the
electioneering/campaigns, Buhari never promised anything more than
fighting corruption.

How was Abacha loot spent, SERAP asks World bank
THE Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has sent an appeal over the decision of the World Bank to provide insufficient information on how the government of Nigeria spent the recovered stolen funds by the late General Sani Abacha.
In the appeal by SERAP to the Access to Information (AI) Appeals Board on the bank’s decision dated November 25, 2015, it requested the board to exercise its prerogative and allow disclosure of specific information and any feedback from the World Bank Evaluation Team on the several issues, including the “evidence and list of the 23 projects allegedly completed with recovered Abacha loot, and whether the projects were actually completed; and what became of the two abandoned projects.”
In a statement by SERAP Deputy Executive Director, Olukayode Majekodunmi, the body complained that the World Bank failed to disclose sufficient information on the spending of recovered stolen funds by the government.

Baba Ijebu's house demolished
As part of ongoing exercise to curb the spate of building collapse, Lagos State Government, yesterday, demolished a four-storey building owned by Sir Kensington Adebutu, founder of the popular Premier Lotto, popularly known as Baba Ijebu.
The building, located at 6, Campbell Street, Lagos Island, was formerly used as party secretariat by the Action Congress (now All Progressives Congress) and law firms. But the building was vacated 10 years ago when the walls started cracking.
It was learned that Adebutu bought the building few years ago and was deliberating on what use to put it to.

Gaddafi's gun, Lybia and the Western connection
Gaddafi's golden gun bears the words "Made in Belgium" - an engraving that points to another story. Three years ago, arms experts spotted a single advanced Belgian rifle in the hands of militants in Gaza. But how had a group listed by the EU and the US as a terrorist organisation obtained the weapon? Arms expert Nic Jenzen-Jones and the BBC's Thomas Martienssen tracked its journey and traced it back to a 12m euro shipment of Belgian arms to Libya agreed in 2008.
When Libyan rebels celebrated the death of Muammar Gaddafi, the colonel's gold-plated pistol was held up as a symbol of their victory - I watched as they passed it among themselves. Four years on, I've been back to Libya to find the man with the golden gun.

Authorities are destroying all books. What novel or story would you memorise to save it for posterity?
Imagine the authorities have banned and are destroying all books. The only way to save them is to memorize them. Theologians have most of the various religious texts memorized; actors have the plays. Most shorter poems are also probably already learned. What novel or story would you commit to memory, in order to save it for posterity?

Pepper soup seller slumps, dies at the sound of gunshots
THERE was confusion in Kwale, headquarters of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State, Tuesday night, following the sudden death of a 50-year-old pepper soup seller at the sound of sporadic gunshots by police officers.
The deceased, whose identity could not be ascertained at press time, allegedly slumped and died after trembling in shock during the gunshots from men of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad of Delta State Police Command, who stormed the area to arrest the National President of Ndokwa Youths Alive Progressive Forum, NYAPF, Mr. Ozegbe Adoh.
Adoh was apprehended on allegations of involvement in the vandalism of the Independent Power Plant at Okpai in Ndokwa East Local Government Area last year.
The police, sources said, had invaded a shop close to the deceased’s pepper soup restaurant at Esumpi Road, where Adoh was relaxing with his friends at about 8p.m., shooting sporadically into the air.
“The deceased was not hit by stray bullets, but was visibly overwhelmed by shock at the sound of the gunshots, which made him to slump,” a source, who craved anonymity, said.
Contacted, Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Celestina Kalu, said Adoh was a fleeing prime suspect in the vandalism of the power plant.
She said men of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad had reported a case of vandalism of the IPP via a petition by the Nigeria Agip Oil Company on November 19, 2015.
Kalu said intensive surveillance of the team resulted in Adoh’s arrest, saying investigation was in progress.

22-yr-old kills cousin over girlfriend, surrenders to police 6 months after
Just like Macbeth, in Shakespeare’s play of same name, murdered sleep and could no longer sleep, 22-year-old Ndifreke Joseph Clement, disturbed by sleepless nights and traumatic experiences after murdering his 23-year-old cousin, Ubong Edet, surrendered himself to police six months after the crime.
Clement, a native of Akon Itam, Itu Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, who handed himself over to police at Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo, said he slashed his cousin’s throat after beating him to coma because Edet slept with his girlfriend in August 2015.
He said: “I cannot remember the exact date now, but it occurred in a night in August 2015 in the one room apartment we shared. On that day, I returned from work to meet the door locked.
“I knocked on the door and waited for over five minutes before my cousin could come to open the door. When I went into the room, I saw my girlfriend weeping and blood running from her nostrils.
“I asked her what happened and she said Ubong beat, wounded and forcefully had sex with her. But after opening the door for me, Ubong went away and did not come back until very late in the night.

Police to introduce stun guns to counter extra-judicial killings
Against the backdrop of repeated cases of extra-judicial killings in the country, Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has said stun guns would be introduced before the year ends.
He also directed that henceforth, any policeman who killed any Nigerian would be arrested within 48 hours and dealt with.
Stun guns only demobilises and the introduction is expected to stop allocation of live bullets.
Disclosing that many officers in this category had been arrested, given orderly room trial and dismissed for taking laws into their hands, Arase said the force management would not relent until police officers attuned themselves to respect human rights and the Rule of Law.
The IGP, who spoke at a meeting with DIGs, AIGs and CPs in Abuja, said: “In a force of 320,000 men, you cannot rule out some deviants, but we have put machinery in place to check these excesses and unlawful acts of policemen.”

MTN engages ex-US Attorney-Gen over NCC's $3.9bn fine
With one month and two weeks left to settle with the Nigerian authorities over the $3.9 billion fine imposed by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, for failing to disconnect unregistered users, MTN Group has hired the former Attorney-General of the United States of America, Eric Holder, to help challenge the propriety of the fine.
The former U.S. law enforcement officer, Holder, is said to have pleaded with Nigerian officials last month on behalf of the telecoms company without success.
It will be recalled that MTN Nigeria was originally given a fine of $5.2 billion in October 2015, and, after weeks of lobbying, had the fine reduced by 25 percent to $3.9 billion.

Reps uncover 169 ghost companies on N1trn rail contracts
THE House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee on Failed Rail Contracts, yesterday, unearthed 169 ghost companies that registered as contractors with the Nigeria Railway Corporation, NRC, for projects valued at N1 trillion.
The ad hoc committee raised the alarm during the investigative hearing at the National Assembly, that none of the 169 companies invited by the committee had shown up.
Chairman of the committee, Johnson Agbonnayinman, (Ikpoba/Okha federal constituency), said the need to invite the contractors was important, but lamented that efforts to reach them had so far proven fruitless.
He added that so far, only the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, CCECC, responded to the committee’s letter.
