N’Delta agitators fight over WO1 Izon Ebi title

NIGER DELTA campaigners, on the platform of 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience, who called off the subsisting seven-month ceasefire with the Federal Government penultimate Wednesday, rescinded its decision, weekend.
However, the group and Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders, NDRC, another agitating group, which challenged restarting of hostilities by the former, continued with their bickering, with the demand that NDRC “stop using the sobriquet WO1 Izon and find another title to use in signing its press releases.”

Leader of 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta, self-styled “General” WO1 Izon Ebi, in a statement suspending resumption of hostilities, said: “The 21st Century Youths of the Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience do not have time for internet-like wars with any group.
“The war we should all join hands to fight is the poverty, deprivation and economic war that has put our people in chains and sickness.
“Since the NDRC claims that their intention is noble to make peace and achieve what we have all been fighting for and to take the baton from all other socio-cultural and pressure groups in the Niger Delta, we wish them luck.
“We have, therefore, called off all hostilities, called all our agitators to stand down and allow NDRC unveil what is in its sleeves.
“The title, WO1 Izon Ebi, is a trademark used in signing our press releases and, as such, we advise NDRC to find another sobriquet in signing their press releases to avoid confusion.”
